Departments with search records in our database¶
56 Connecticut police departments, 446,146 licence-plate searches between January 2023 and August 2026, from six towns' released Flock audit logs.
Each card is a summary. Click one for that department's full dashboard — filter by month, stated reason, search type and how far each query reached, and read every reason its officers typed, with personal names, licence plates, case numbers and street addresses masked. Each carries its own How to read this tab.
These are floors, not totals
A department appears here only for searches that reached the cameras of the six Connecticut towns whose audit exports have been released. Its real search count is higher, and a department absent from this list has not been shown to search less — it means no released log happens to record it.
For example, as of October 3, 2026, West Hartford has not released its own audit log. So its page shows only the West Hartford searches that also reached a camera in one of the six towns that have (Darien, Farmington, Manchester, North Haven, Waterford and Windsor). A typical West Hartford query sweeps hundreds of camera networks at once, so most of its searches do reach one of the six: checked against USA TODAY's separately published Flock search data, these logs held every West Hartford search in each of the 24 months both sources cover. What cannot appear here is a search of West Hartford's own cameras alone, or another department searching West Hartford's cameras.
"Reached beyond its own cameras" is the share of a department's searches that swept more than one camera network. A query sweeping thousands is a nationwide search, not a local one.

Departments without a town report yet¶
The meeting-transcript side of this project has not reached these towns, so there is no per-town report to sit alongside — but their search record is here. Manchester is the single largest Connecticut searcher in the whole corpus.
